Why does antiracist healthcare matter?
Our oath as healthcare providers is to save and protect lives. By engaging with antiracist coursework, you’re innovating your clinical practice and learning how to support and advocate for every patient, perhaps in ways you were not trained to do.
Connect with like-minded individuals who are committed to creating positive change. Share experiences, best practices, and build a supportive network dedicated to antiracism.
All healthcare professionals are encouraged to join this free lunch and learn to sample the content and learn about the Antiracist Mental Health Fellowship beginning March 18, 2024, before enrollment ends on March 15, 2024.
Racism can occur without intention or recognition, but its impact is toxic.
Black Americans are 30% more likely to be physically restrained when experiencing mental health emergencies. More than half of all Black children will experience a child-welfare investigation by the time they reach age 18, and Black mothers are more likely to be subjected to unnecessary urine drug screens that can lead to child welfare involvement. Shockingly, over 75% of quality of care indicators are staying the same or getting worse for all racially minoritized people in the United States.
Expand Your Mind. Expand Your Practice.
Join us for the Lunch and Learn this February to learn more about the Antiracism in Mental Health Fellowship launching March 18th, 2024. Develop specific strategies for traversing systemic barriers in healthcare, creating a more inclusive and affirming practice, and bringing joy and healing to yourself and others.
